cornetist, bandmaster, 1924 graduate of the Newton High School Boston, 1929 BA and 1931 MA from Boston University, 1916-1917 studied cornet with Thomas Mullaly in Boston, 1918-1930 cornet, composition and conducting with Edwin G Clarke, 1929-1938 cornetist of the 211th Coast Artillery Band, 1930 residing with his parents at 983 Washington Street in Boston Newton, 1940 as teacher brass instruments and music theory at 24 Wilson Avenue in Boston Newton, January 1945 he joined the 97th Infantry Division serving in Germany, Czechoslovakia and until 1948 in Japan, June 1948 bandmaster of the 2nd Infantry Division Band at Fort Lewis Washington, 25.dec.1951 he returned from service in Korea, 1955 residing in Maryland, 1956 residing at 859 Fishburn Road in Hershey, 30.apr.1960 released from Army service, buried at Hershey Cemetery in Hershey Pennsylvania ; son of engineer and church choirmaster Charles Herbert Anderson (Maine, Fayette 26.may.1869-) and church organist Elizabeth 'Lizzie' May Crawford (Maine, Richmond 1.mar.1971-) ; 11.mar.1933 he married the Franklin Square House occupant Vera Louise Richmond (Massachusetts, Pittsfield 25.aug.1908-30.may.1956 Pennsyslvania, Hershey/Harrisburg Hospital of lung cancer) ; they had three children
