pianist, organist, 1881-1884 studied piano under Gabriel Baille, organ under Clement Loret, plainchant, counterpoint and fugue under Eugene Gigout and harmony, solfege and composition under Gustave Lefevre at Ecole de Musique Religieuse (Ecole Niedermeyer) in Paris, 28.jul.1881 he won the 1er prix piano and 1er prix harmonie, 29.jul.1882 1er prix solfege, 1er prix organ, 2e prix harmonie and a honorable mention composition, 1883 2e prix contrepoint, 1884 honorable mention fugue, 26.dec.1887-1892 studied counterpoint and fugue at the Conservatoire National de Paris, 1889 1er accessit and 1890 2d prix counterpoint and fugue, 1891 received a honorable mention at the Prix de Rome, 1893-1895 member of Societe des compositeurs de musique, 1895-1902 organist of Notre-Dame-des-Champs in Paris, 1898 named Officier d'Academie, 1900 teacher harmony at the newly founded Institut musical et dramatique Mme Jeanty-Carjat in Paris, 1.jan.1904 named Officier de l'Instruction publique, he died at hospital Freres-Saint-Jean-de-Dieu, 23.jul.1904 his funeral service was held at Notre-Dame-des-Champs
