pianist, 1815 organist in Wetteren, he abandoned the post to study piano at the Conservatoire de Paris where he studied with Pierre Zimmermann, 1822 winning the 1er prix piano, returned to Brussel where he begins a career as professor of piano, 1829 pianist at the court of Willem I king of the Netherlands, he died prematurely from a chest disease
