singer, singing teacher, son of a rector in Wusterhausen an der Dosse, 1844 singing teacher at the Sing-Akademie in Berlin, 1848 he also founded an Institut fur Operngesang, later he was singing teacher at the Koniglichen Realschule in Berlin, also teacher for the stuttering, towards the end of his life he went to Frankfurt an der Oder, he wrote many articles on voice and singing for musical journals, 1847-1850 for the Neue Berliner Musikalische Zeitung, 1851-1856 for the Berliner Echo
