conductor, choirmaster, from Santander, 26.feb.1787 in Cadiz he received a boarding license for Buenos Aires, Dec 1787 conductor at Teatro de la Rancheria in Buenos Aires, 16.aug.1792 the teatre burned down and he moved to Santiago de Chile where he became active as composer and performer of songs, tonadillas and dances, 1802 he moved to Montevideo where he was composer for Casa de Comedias, 5.mar.1805 aged 59 and still composer for the Casa de Comedias in Montevideo he acted as a witness in a lawsuit in Buenos Aires, no further facts about him are known ; in Spain he married Josefa Garcia ; son Pedro Aranaz (Spain, ?Santander 1775-)
