soprano/tenor/bass singer, from the age of 12 with a remarkable soprano voice he sang at the Concerts de Paris, 7.apr.1849 aged 12 (sic) he sang a romance by Masini at Casino des Arts in Paris, 1847 studied solfege at Conservatoire de Paris, immediately obtaining premier prix, 1854-1856 when his voice changed he studied harmony, violin and singing at the Conservatoire, in his early 20ties he became professor of singing at Conservatoire de Paris, choirmaster of Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, 1896 as professor at the Conservatoire residing at Rue de Maubeuge 9, 1899 he retired from de Conservatoire, at time of death residing at Rue de Navarin 3 in Paris 9e ; son of Jean Louis Archainbaud (Strasbourg 1798-13.jun.1866 Paris) and Marie Louise Floransant (1798-) ; 11.jul.1857 in Paris he married soprano Augustine Josephine Zolobodjan (Paris 18.jul.1833-5.aug.1905 Paris), son composer Joseph Archainbaud ; 25.aug.1906 in Paris 9e he married painter Marguerite Paquet (1.nov.1857-)
