pianist, teacher piano, studied at Conservatorio di San Pietro a Majella in Naples, 1853 debuted as pianist at Teatro San Carlo Naples, 13.apr.1853 started his international career with a concert at Salle Pleyel in Paris, 1855 arriving in Rio de Janeiro, his inaugural concert took place on 27.may.1855 at Teatro Provisorio, he enjoyed the patronage of the neapolitan princess Tereza Cristina de Bourbon who would become Empress of Brazil, in a short time he became a beloved piano teacher of the upper class, as professor of piano residing with his brother at Rua dos Invalidos 72 in Rio de Janeiro, later he taught at academia de musica do Club Beethoven founded by Robert J. Kinsman ; son of medal engraving artist Achille Arnaud (d. 20.jul.1839 in the Naples cholera epidemic) and Maddalena Sarnelli ; brother of composer Gennaro Arnaud ; he married his piano student Flora de Carvalho Arnaud
