actor, chansonnier (lyricist), librettist, [Stieger: composer], the original spelling of the family name was Arnoux, he suggested that he descended from the singer/actress Sophie Arnould, Leon de Bercy 1902 describes him as "small, lively, restless, always with the nose in the wind and what a nose!", September 1891 he debuted as actor at Theatre Renaissance in Paris, then for 6 years actor and 1896-1902 revue producer at Theatre Varietes in Paris, 1894-1895 he used the pseudonym Marx-Michel, 1895 member of Societe des Auteurs et Compositeurs Dramatiques, 1906 employed at Theatre Gaite-Rochechouart in Paris, 9.jun.1911 associate of Societe des Auteurs et Compositeurs Dramatiques, 1928 receiving a provisional pension but until at least 1935 attending the assemblies, 10.jan.1917 Albert de Courville invited him to collaborate in the production of 'The Big Show' at the Hippodrome in London, 31.dec.1919 he finished his book 'Vingt-cinq ans chez les fous, Souvenirs d'un revuiste', 1936 as lyricist member of Societe des Auteurs, Compositeurs et Editeurs de Musique Paris (SACEM) ; 27.aug.1918 his daughter Marcelle Arnould married american army officer Edward W Brady in Paris Montmorency
