organist, 1928-1937 studied organ with Jan Zwart, 1950 studied conducting with Jan Koetsier and piano and composition with Hugo van Dalen at the Royal Conservatory in Den Haag, from an early age organist of the Gereformeerde Kerk in Den Helder, 1933-1943 of the Hooglandse Kerk in Leiden, 1943-1965 of the Evangelisch Lutherse Kerk in Den Haag and 1965-1984 of the Grote Kerk in Maassluis, he gave many organ concerts in the Netherlands and abroad
