mezzosoprano, prima donna, studied at Milan Conservatory, 10.mar.1853 she sang the part of Pavot in 'Frere Tranquille, drame a grand spectacle' at Theatre de la Porte-Saint-Martin in Paris, 1866-1869 she sang at Teatro Real in Madrid and other theatres in Spain, 1872 she was in Paris where Georges Rupes dedicated his 'Vous ne m'aimez plus, romance dramatique' to her, 1873-1874 she sang in Wagner's Rienzi and the role of Matilde in Rossini's William Tell at Teatro La Fenice in Venice, 1877-1879 she spent 2 years in America where she gained a brilliant reputation as prima donna of the Academy of New York, 1879 she toured France and Switzerland, 11.jun.1879 she performed a week in Lausanne Switzerland, 17.jun.1879 in Geneva Switzerland, 26.jun.1879 in Savoie France, then performed at the theaters in Madrid, London and Theatre des Italiens in Paris 5.mar.1881 she gave a concours at Theatre d'Angouleme where she also sang her own composition 'Stella d'amor' ; by 1882 she had married Rupes [probably a relative of the composer Georges Rupes (Toulouse 16.jun.1834-8.sep.1902 Paris 17e)]
