amateur composer, accountant by profession, before 1875 he showed his drawings for the Convent of the Sisters of Mercy at the Crawford Art Gallery 1851-1875, 1897-1900 president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, 1900 as chartered accountant residing with his mother, sister and 3 servants at 6 Adelaide Place in Cork, at time of his sudden death from a clot to the brain residing at 6 Adelaide Place in Cork ; son of William Ringrose Atkins (Mallow bap.11.oct.1807-5.jan.1887 Mallow) and Louise Josephine Singer Gelston (Mallow 2.dec.1811-10.feb.1904)
