organist, mainly harmonium, publisher, he used the anagram d'Aubel as pseudonym, studied with Louis Lefebure Wely and Francois Benoist, 4.aug.1851 aged 21 as musician living in Paris, 1858 he began a piano/organ/music publishing house and was editor of Journal de la Musique Populaire (until 1867 at 2 rue Flechier, 1868 at 8 rue Ollivier, 1872 at 18 rue de Chateaudun and 18 rue Concordet) which went bankrupt 8.jun.1872, 1860-1870 he was organist of Saint-Roch Paris, 1871 of Saint Andre d'Antin Paris, 1876-1899 of Oratoire Saint-Louis du Louvre in Paris, 1878 he was knighted caballero del Carlos III after he had performed military music in Madrid for king Carlos, 1882-1899 organist of Oratoire Saint-Honore Paris, 1879 founder/conductor of Societe des Concerts du Trocadero with 150 executants at Palais du Trocadero Paris, 1882 his 'pas redouble' received a honorable mention at a concours by the Societe des Compositeurs, 1885-1899 he resided both at 42 rue de Lubeck and 12 rue Manuel in Paris, he died unexpectedly 7 months after the inauguration of the Merklin organ at Saint-Louis du Louvre 24.mar.1899, at time of death he was organist of Saint-Honore ; son of music publisher Nicolas Francois Lebeau (1805-1877) and Heloise Genevieve Pouyallet ; 28.oct.1851 at St Roch in Paris he married Constance Katzenstein ; 26.jul.1885 in Paris he married Felicie Godard ; 16.jan.1898 in Paris he married Veronique Josephine Motte ; brother of composer Alfred Lebeau
