organist, pianist, born Ventose an VIII de la Republique, studied latin and philosophy in Marseille, studied music with Francois Benoist at the Conservatoire de Paris, 1827-1841 as organist, professor of piano and music editor and publisher residing at rue de Valois 9 in Paris, at time of death residing at rue du Coq-Saint-Honore 13 in Asnieres, in his testament of 15.feb.1890 he left a fortune for the founding of a maison de refuge (house for the poor) which was created 29.mar.1895 in Asnieres, he also left large sums to homes for the poor and relief of patients in Manosque ; son of Joseph Alagnier and Antoinette Collin ; his brother Pierre (1805-) was professor of piano at College Sainte-Barbe and organist of Saint-Severin ; 5.mar.1859 in Paris he married Eugenie Louise Delannoy ; ?daughter pianist Clementine Marie Aulagnier (Paris 9.jul.1827-)
