pianist, guitarist, studied music in France, 1860 she played the Madeiran machete and cavaquinho to Imperatriz Sissi in Funchal, she won the second prize and a diplome d'honneur at the concours international at the Exposition Universelle of 1889 Paris, 6.mar.1890 Mme Amelie d'Azevedo gave an audition du machete, instrument de I'lle de Madere, accompanied by guitarist Fanny Martin at Salle des Capucines 39 Boulevard des Capucines Paris, 7.nov.1892 she donated 'six morceaux de musique' for a charity party in favor of the unfortunate people of Marseille supported and organized by the city of Cannes at Theatre de la rue d'Antibes in Marseille, 1900 she was again at the Paris Exposition Universelle and composed a piece 'in homage to Lafayette, dedicated to the members of the United States of America section' ; daughter of general Antonio Pedro de Azevedo (1812-1889) and Maria Rosa Bernes
