banjoist, banjo maker, studied with Alfred A Farland, 1897 formed the Bacon Banjo Quintette, 1905-1906 toured with the Bacon Trio, 1905 brought out his first banjo, 1913 he settled in New London Connecticut and opened his own factory in nearby Groton, 1929 settled as music teacher in Newfane, 1940 established a small business for assembling and repair of musical instruments
