pianist, organist, 22.nov.1797 a benefit concert at the Ipswich Assembly Room was given for Mr. Ball, musician and piano tuner 'Pianofortes or Harpsichords tuned in town and country on the shortest notice', 1808 organist of St Lawrence Church in Ipswich, his songs were performed at Ranelagh Gardens in Norwich Norfolk, 1840 he ran a music publishing Ball & Sons in Ipswich, he lived during the war between Britain and France 1803-1814 which is reflected in the topics of his music like the death of Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson in the Battle of Trafalgar 21.oct.1805, his tomb in St Paul's Cathedral London and the Ipswich Volunteers formed in 1803 to defend the Suffolk coast
