organist, conductor, publisher, 1833 studied at Gottingen Conservatory of Music, 1836 emigrated to the USA, 1840 conductor at the Jesuit College in St Louis, 1846 founded the St Louis Oratorio Society, for 46 years organist of Christ Episcopal Church St Louis, 1848 founded the Balmer & Weber Music House publishing the music by numerous composers, 1860 he had done well with 5 children and 3 servants including a coachman, he used the pseudonyms Charles Remlab, T. van Berg, Alphonse Leduc, Charles Lange, Henry Werner, August Schumann, T. Meyer, F.B. Rider ; 23.jun.1840 in St Louis he married Theresa Weber (Germany, Schloss Ehrenbreitstein 11.may.1820-1.nov.1904 St Louis)
