pianist, conductor, teacher of classical music, 1.jun.1931 he was accompanist on piano at a concert by violinist Antoine Cornu, 1936 as composer member of Societe des Auteurs, Compositeurs et Editeurs de Musique (SACEM) Paris, 13.jul.1941 he conducted his Orchestre Rythmique at the Fetes de la Legion Francaise des Combattants at Saint-Eugene in Algiers, 12.aug.1941 he conducted the Philharmonique et l'Elan de Bab-el-Oued at the Grand Gala de la Legion Francaise des Combattants at the Marignan in Algiers, 15.feb.1943 and 6.jun.1943 he conducted Orchestre Jacques Barat at Tirage de la Loterie Algerienne at Salle Pierre-Bordes in Algiers, in Algiers he also led jazz bands 'Symphonic-Swing' and 'La Jazz', later songwriter/lyricist of popular music, ao for Johnny Hallyday (Paris 1943-) and Sylvie Vartan (Bulgaria 1944- / Paris 1952) ; son of composer Edouard Barat ; 15.nov.1935 in Algiers he married Andree Anne Georgette Clement (1917-2008) ; son Claude (1937-)
