violinist, 27.nov.1807 baptized at Sankt Martini in Minden, studied violin with his father and with Louis Spohr in Kassel, 1822-1824 at the age of 15-17 substitute violinist in the orchestra of the Kurfurstlichen Kapelle in Kassel, later violinist at the Koniglich Wurttembergischen Hofcapelle in Stuttgart, 1834 he played Beethoven's violin concerto in Stuttgart, c1840 he settled as violin teacher in Halberstadt, later he lived as chamber musician in Stuttgart, 8.nov.1883 he was buried at the Sankt Leonhardskirche in Stuttgart ; son of concertmaster of the Kurfurstlichen Kapelle in Kassel Johann Gottfried Heinrich Barnbeck (Halberstadt 3.aug.1774-1836 Kassel) and Wilhelmine Henriette Brune who married 12.aug.1806 in Herford Westfalen ; 14.aug.1854 aged 46 at the Hof-Schlosskirche in Stuttgart he married Marie Rosalie
