organist, professor of music, 17.apr.1808 baptized at St Peter in Leeds as son of Matthew Barnett of Ebenezer Street, 1833 music teacher in Leeds, 1840-1870 organist of the Holy Ascension Church and music teacher in Settle Yorkshire, residing at Market Place, 1880 as widowed music teacher still residing at Market Place, 1890-1895 as widowed and retired professor of music and organist residing with his still single daughters Julia and Fanny and a servant at 3 Prospect Terrace in Settle ; he married Rebecca ; son musician George Frederick (Leeds 13.may.1833-), daughter Rebecca Core (1835-1845 Settle) ; secondly he married Margaret (Ireland, Wicklow 1814-) ; daughter schoolmistress Julia (Settle 1842-1922 Devon, Honiton), daughter schoolmistress Fanny Ann (Settle 1844-)
