pianist, organist, choirmaster, studied with Lawrence S Hurst in Bradford Yorkshire, 24.dec.1914 made his first visit to the USA as pianist for reverend J Wilbur Chapman, 1917 on tour in New York he named himself gospel pianist for reverend Charles M Alexander, 9.nov.1917-11.jun.1919 he served in the American Army, 12.dec.1919 became naturalized American, 1919-1921 organist/choirmaster of the Hermon Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia, 1931-1947 choirmaster of the Tioga Presbyterian Church Philadelphia, 1947 manager of the Office of the Presbyterian General Assembly Philadelphia, 1933-1952 residing at 8302 Cadwalader Road, Elkins Park Philadelphia ; son of Joseph Heaton Barraclough and Sarah Jane Metcalf ; 9.nov.1921 he married J Isabell Rosenberger (Philadelphia 25.nov.1898-oct.1980 Philadelphia)
