organist, choirmaster, studied with Erwin Lendvai and Joseph Haas at the Academy in Munchen, 1928-1931 organist at St Petri and Pauli in Bergedorf while residing at Heinrich Heine Weg 17, 1931 cantor of St Katharinen in Hamburg, 1939 director of the Altona Singakademie and the Volksmusikschule in Hamburg, also conductor/director of the choir of the Hamburger Volksbildungsstatte, after 1945 also in this role, 1953 choirmaster and organist of the Verheissungskirche in Hamburg-Niendorf, 1965 retired ; in Hamburg he married music teacher Irene Charlotte Anna Trappe (Hamburg 22.dec.1905-21.jan.1982 Hamburg)
