tenor, organist, 1869 entered New England Conservatory Boston where he studied singing under O'Neill, piano and theory under Stephen Emery, studied voice with George L Osgood in Boston, Charles A Guilmette in New York and William Shakespeare in London, toured with the Careno Sauret Co., 1875-1876 with the Camilla Urso Concert Co. and later with the Barnabee Concert Co., sang at Berkley Temple, Old West Church, Unity Church and King's Chapel in Boston, Plymouth Church in Worcester Massachusetts, Harvard Church in Boston Brookline, Plymouth Church Chicago and after 1900 for many years at Arlington Street Church in Boston, musical director for the actors Edwin Booth and Barrett, teacher in Boston, organist in Worcester ; son of Cyrus Bartlett (Maine, Livermore 12.nov.1801-) and Sarah Butler (NH 1812-) ; 6.jan.1897 he married Alice Hamant (1850-1936 Medfield)
