clarinetist, clinician, 1949 BM and 1950 MM from Northwestern University Chicago, studied clarinet with Wesley Shepard, Gino Cioffi, Domenico de Caprio, Sidney Forrest and Simeon Bellison, 1950 principal clarinetist with the Baton Rouge Symphony, professor of music at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, principal clarinetist with the New Orleans Summer Pops Orchestra and the Civic Opera Company, 1969 author of 'The Clarinet', 1990-2016 residing in Hammond Luisiana ; son of Alex Barzenick (Russia 14.aug.1892- / 1912 USA) and Katie (Russia 1893- / 1914 USA) ; his wife Margaret 'Peggy' (1936-) is clarinetist and his daughter Piper (1960-) violinist with the Baton Rouge Symphony
