flutist, studied law, studied music with Joseph Rosler, Abbe Vogler and Carl Maria von Weber in Prague, first flute at a theatre in Prague, 1802-1805 conductor of Bohemian and German opera in Prague, 1805 after graduating in law, to escape military service, he traveled as flutist and studied piano in Germany, France and Italy, after the Vienna peace congress 1815 he returned to Prague and entered in service of Count Gallas as secretary and teacher of music, he resumed his function of first flute at the theater and was appointed professor of flute at Prague Conservatory, 1824 he became custodian of the mortgages of the lordship of Reichenbach, 1835 still residing in Prague [Fetis 1835]
