violinist, attended high school in Rockford Illinois where she played in the orchestra and 1901 with Winslow G Bean in vaudeville in Chicago, 1910 on tour in Greenville Mississippi on the houseboat 'Idler' of her mother-in-law musician Kate Blake Bean widow of Clarence, 1913-1964 residing in Little Rock Arkansas, 1913-1922 at the home of Kate at Louisiana Street and on houseboat 'Idler' on which they also traveled the Mississippi playing in vaudeville houses, 1923-1944 residing at 900 West 6th Street, 1913-1917 she and her husband were violinists at Crystal Theatre, Palace Theatre and Kempner Theatre, 1920 she and her daughter were violinists at Famous Cafe, her husband had started a music store at 205 6th Street which expanded rapidly, 1934-1942 the whole family was employed in the Bean Music Co., after 1942 at 205-207 6th Street, with Mabel as manager and her husband president, she was member and 1943 organist of the First Church of Christ Scientists, president of the Arkansas Pen Women's Club, active in Esther Chaper, Order of the Eastern Star, Womens City Club and the Musical Coterie, 1958-1964 residing at 2924 South State Street in Little Rock ; 3.apr.1902 in Chicago she married Winslow Grenfel Bean (Illinois, Rockford 7.sep.1879-5.jul.1963 Little Rock) ; daughter Margaret 'Margy' Bean Jasper (Illinois, Chicago 7.sep.1903-feb.1995 Little Rock) was violinist and composer, son Roy Hulett Bean (Little Rock 3.oct.1918-17.jan.2012 Texas, Tyler) was hornist, music teacher and choirmaster
