singer, singing teacher, studied singing with her father, Sims Reeves, Ettore Fiori, de Marney, Allin and George Henschel, harmony and composition with Charles William Pearce and Ralph Dunstan, elocution with Hermann Vezin, stage dancing with John d'Auban, took leading part in Sir Hubert von Herkomer's Bushey plays and in the 'Judah' of Henry Arthur Jones, she made a study of the problems of diet and health as affecting the voice, she was first chairman of the Musical Advisory Board of the Lyceum Club, member of the Sesame Club and Society of Authors London, 1871 residing at 2 Bedford Place in Handsworth Staffordshire, 1881 in Lambeth Surrey, 1891-1938 in London Kensington, 1957 at Moor House Lane End Fingest ; daughter of the composers Emil and Kate Behnke ; she never married
