organist, choirmaster, cantor, before 1883 studied organ with abbe Louis Capard at Cathedrale de Bayeux who gave him free rein to his talent for improvisation and virtuosity on the cathedral organ, 1881 he inaugurated the restored organ of Saint-Pierre in Caen (1881 also inaugurated by Alexandre Guilmant), 1883 or later he succeeded abbe Louis Capard (1824-1883) as canon, organist and choirmaster of the Cathedrale de Bayeux, 1923 abbe Paul Bigard succeeded him as choirmaster but he still held the position of organist in 1931, 29.jun.1885 received the clerical tonsure in the Diocese of Bayeux, 1885-1888 organist of Saint-Julien in Caen, 17.dec.1887 ordained deacon at the Ordination Generale des Quatre-Temps de l'Avent in Bayeux, 29.jun.1888 ordained priest at Saint-Pierre in Caen, 1900-1924 chaplain of College Communal de l'Association de Bayeux, 1.jun.1924 made Officier d'Academie, 8.jul.1924 as chaplain of College de l'Association he offered the awards at the Cours Superieur Instruction Religieuse, 8.jul.1929 he was in the jury of a concours d'orgue at Saint-Etienne in Caen organized by Ecole d'Orgue de Caen presided by Guy de Lioncourt of the Schola Cantorum Paris, 9.apr.1934 made Officier de l'Instruction publique, he composed many musical works which became repertoire of the Scholae
