concert pianist, studied with Anton Rubinstein and Jules Massenet, 1880 debuted as boy pianist with Carlotta Patti in New York City and with Theodore Thomas throughout the USA, 1882 in London, 1885 in Pasdeloup and Lamoreux concerts in Paris, all his life he made many concert tours and long stays as teacher in Europe, 1900 residing with wife Olga and daughter in Richmondtown Staten Island, 1907-1914 teacher piano at Michigan Conservatory of Music in Detroit residing with Olga at 973 Brush Street, 1927-1928 residing at 43 Rugby Road Brooklyn, 1931 residing at Hotel Marie Antoinette in Broadway, he gave his year of birth randomly as 1867 to 1875 but mainly 1871 ; son of advertizing agent Albert Bennett Benham (England, London 1841-1909 Philadelphia) and musician/music teacher Alice Eva Newman (England, London 1846-16.nov.1928 Brooklyn) ; 16.jun.1891 in Manhattan he married teacher Olga Steinitz (Illinois, Chicago 16.jun.1865- / 1915-1919 living alone in Detroit) ; since 1913 he traveled with musician Faye Ernestine Warden (Ohio, Deshler 13.oct.1892-), 1930 in Brooklyn he was rooming with Faye Benham who may have been Faye Warden or his niece Faye Benham
