hymn writer, evangelist. educated in public schools in Youngstown, 1892-1907 Salvation Army officer, 1907-1958 evangelist in the US and Canada, 1912 connected with the Chicago Evangelistic Institute, 1910 residing in Albion Michigan, 1917-1920 residing in Bellaire Michigan, 1930 he had moved for health reasons from Albion Michigan to Los Angeles Hermosa Beach, buried at Inglewood Park Cemetery Los Angeles ; son of coal miner George Bennard (Scotland 1837-) and Christina Russell (Scotland 1838-) ; 1894 he married Salvation Army officer Araminta Statler Beeler (Pennsylvania, Greencastle 16.sep.1871-10.sep.1941 Los Angeles Redondo Beach), sons Fay George (Illinois, De Kalb 5.jun.1899-10.apr.1938 Chicago) and John Paul (Michigan, Albion or Bellaire 30.mar.1913-16.jun.1991 Los Angeles Gardena) ; July 1944 he married Hannah Dalstrom (Michigan, Lincoln 21.jun.1891-3.jul.1977 Reed City)
