organist, 28.nov.1921 admission at the Conservatoire de Paris, 1922 1er accessit harmony, 1925 2e accessit fugue, 8.feb.1927 with his fellow student Henri Lauth (1899-1969) he wrote a letter to Alice de Koenigswarter (1878-1963), a patron and widow of the composer Fernand Halphen (1872-1917) because they had just received the Prix Fernand Halphen and the donation that goes with it, they therefore thanked Mrs. Halphen for this "very valuable encouragement for the students" (Lauth, pianist, will make a career as choral conductor at the Opera de Paris, Berault will leave few traces), 1936 as composer member of Societe des Auteurs, Compositeurs et Editeurs de Musique (SACEM) Paris, he seems to have abandoned music shortly after
