violinist, in his early years studied music with his elder brother and with professor Feraglio in nearby Auxerre, studied violin with Joseph Clavel, piano with F M Droling and harmony with Auguste Barbereau at the Conservatoire de Paris, 1823-1831 professor of music at pensionnat d'Aubigny (Cher), 1828 professor at the college in the small village Gien where he had only four music students in a few years, in Gien less than twenty years later he had founded and directed musical societies, elementary schools of music and string quartets, and had more than two hundred persons successfully cultivated in singing, piano and ensemble music, by 1846 he had about 100 works in manuscript, fanfares et pas-redoubles pour musique militaire, ouvertures pour orchestre, quatuors pour instruments a cordes, pieces d'orgue, choeurs avec orchestre, trois airs varies pour violon avec orchestre, fantaisies, etc., but he was most appreciated for his music study books, he died aged 45 in the presence of his brother and a doctor at his home Rue de Lyon in Gien ; son of shoemaker Zacharie Bergerre (Seignelay 19.oct.1780-20.aug.1832 Seignelay) and his first wife Julie Balavoie (died before 1816)
