1941 studied with Daniel-Lesur at the Schola Cantorum in Paris, 1947 in Paris co-founder of Groupe Zodiaque with his friends and fellow students Maurice Ohana, Stanislaw Skrowaczewski, Sergio de Castro and Pierre de la Forest Divonne, he divided his time between composing in private and dealing in antiques, 2005 residing in Ramatuelle on the peninsula of Saint-Tropez
