Gottingen, 1814 organist of the Marienkirche Muhlhausen, a few years later appointed director of music and vice-rector of the gymnasium, he
established boys' choirs and girls schools, 1830 he founded a society of men's choirs, organizer and director of great musical festivals in Muhlhausen
