pianist, organist, studied piano with Heinrich Kohler, Edwin Glover, Charles Albert Graninger and Albino Gorno in Cincinnati, theory and composition with Otto Singer and John Andrew van Broekhoven, normal with Arnold Johann Gantvoort, organ with Lillian Arkell Rixford at the College of Music of Cincinnati, taught piano and theory at Atlanta Conservatory Georgia and Brenau College Conservatory in Gainesville Georgia, 1910 moved to San Diego California where she taught the Dunning System, editor of the Children's Department of the Pacific Coast Musician, 1920 residing at 3914 Third Street San Diego, 1929 she gave piano classes via newspaper lessons and large auditorium groups ; daughter of druggist Henry Clay Rector (Ohio, Frankfort 10.feb.1833-21.aug.1906 Nebraska, Lincoln) and Martha Rowe Hurst (Ohio, Ross 30.aug.1830-7.jan.1922 Minnesota, Minneapolis) ; 6.jun.1895 in Cincinnati she married manufacturer Edwin Dealtry Bevitt (Missouri, St Charles 4.may.1860-11.may.1942 San Diego)
