Bonte, Johannes 'Jo' 1912- Netherlands, Den Haag
clarinetist, studied piano, violin and clarinet and composition under Johan Wagenaar at the Royal Conservatory in Den Haag, clarinetist in the Residentie Orkest Den Haag and bass clarinetist in the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra in Hilversum, 1952 he formed an ensemble with horn quartet, bass clarinet and rhythm section officially named 'Top Line Specials' but in practice just Bonte's horn ensemble, he arranged numerous and composed several works but does not seem to have publish anything, only after his retirement 1977 he started copyrighting and publishing his compositions, 2017 his publisher Molenaar Edition Wormerveer writes 'at the moment he still writes for brass band, harmony and fanfare' suggesting he is still living and composing at the age of 104 ; son of composer Johannes 'Johan' Bonte (Den Haag 23.may.1880-29.nov.1940 Den Haag) and Alida van der Woerd (Leiden 14.feb.1877-)
