pianist, organist, choirmaster, 1853-1930 organist of Eglise Saint-Denis in Montpellier, 1853 the Saint-Denis parish priest Martin d'Agde entrusted him with the great organs when he was 13 years old, inspite he was asked several times to go to Paris, where the most flattering positions were offered to him he preferred to remain faithful to his native city and to the parish of Saint Denis where for 77 years he held the great organs with a rare talent and a very popular freshness of improvisation, in 1930 he held the record to date for lenght of service as organist of France, 1874-1909 professor of piano in Montpellier, close friend of Emile Paladilhe, April 1892 he conducted the premiere of Paladilhe's oratorio 'Saintes Maries de la Mer' at Saint-Denis, 1909 Francois, son Georges and wife Mme Borne were all teacher piano at 8 Rue Draparnand Montpellier ; son of farmer/gardener Jean Guillaume Borne (1809-) and Jane Elisabeth Pages (1816-) ; 24.may.1874 in Montpellier he married pianist Georgette Camille Emilie Albertine Lambert (Alsace, Selestat 1857-aft.1936 Montpellier) ; son pianist/organist/professor of music Honore Francois Georges Borne (Montpellier 30.jan.1881-24.feb.1913 Montpellier)
