organist, pianist, musicologist, music critic, studied organ, music theory and composition with Anthon van der Horst, piano with Jan Nieland and Caroline Lankhorst, 12.sep.1928 at organ and piano he accompanied singer Elly van den Berg in a concert broadcasted on Radio NCRV, for many years organist of the Sint-Agneskerk in Amsterdam, 16.dec.1931 he played the organ in a performance of his father's Kerstoratorium at the Nederlands Hervormde Kerk in Zaandam, 1.sep.1933 teacher music history at the newly founded Amsterdamsch Muziekinstituut, 1930-1984 music critic for the largest national newspaper 'De Telegraaf' and 'De Tijd' including articles like 'Klavarskribo (1932)', 'Radio-synthetisch orgel (1935)', 'Klavecymbel of Piano (1935)', 13.sep.1945 teacher at the newly founded Muziekschool Halfweg near Amsterdam, 18.oct.1980 he played the organ in a performance of his father's Missa in honorem Sancti Alphons at the St Josephkerk in Heerlen Welten ; son of composer Hubert Cuypers
