1888 living with his parents at 259 Sheldon Ave in Grand Rapids, 1896 as musician and 1897-1905 as music teacher, 1902 also teaching at 29 The Gilbert, 1905-1920 professor of music in Detroit, 1917-1930 as mentally ill patient in Pontiac State Hospital Detroit, the first years on and off but soon permanent and probably died there after 1930 ; son of railroad brakeman Daniel W Dailey (NY may.1853-b1914 Grand Rapids) and stepmother Amelia J Sammons (Michigan apr.1851-a1921), his natural mother was french and died 1886 ; 8.may.1905 in Essex Ontario near Detroit he married Stella C Davenport (NY 1875-)
