saxophonist, publisher, composer, studied at the Conservatoire National de Paris, 1921 1e prix and 1922 2e prix double bass, teacher clarinet and double bass at the Conservatoire National de Paris, 24.feb.1927 he left Paris for New York City, 1928-1932 saxophonist of the New York Philharmonic, while living as composer and publisher in New York City he made several visits to Paris, 26.jun.1928 returning from Paris, 19.sep.1928 his wife and children joined him in New York City, 28.jun.1930 and 27.jun.1931 he returned from Paris and on 30.jun.1932 he returned from Paris together with his wife and children, later that year he had an accident in which his hand was damaged whereupon he returned to Paris and founded 'Editions de Paris' a publishing house specializing in music variety which also represented Edith Piaf and the music of his wife, 24.aug.1946 he returned to New York again, probably not for long because in October that year his permanent address was still 3 Rue du Square Paris ; 29.jan.1924 in Paris he married composer Jeanne Delphine Fernande Breilh (France Pyrenees, Gaillac 25.dec.1896-6.aug.1954 Fontainebleau), divorced 1950 ; children Jeannine Francoise Baptistine (Paris 1924-), Michel Jean Fernand (Paris 1926-2010) and Alain (1937-) ; 19.jul.1951 in Paris he married Simone Mathilde Louise Hurpy
