pianist, organist, countertenor, teacher of singing and piano, 16.nov.1791 matriculated at Magdalen College Oxford where he graduated with BMus, studied with Benjamin Cooke, 1785 lay-vicar of Westminster Abbey, 1787-1794 residing at 4 Tufton Street Westminster, aug.1788 sang as countertenor at the Worcester musical festival, 1788-1793 gentleman of the Chapel Royal, organist of St Paul's Cathedral, 1789 owned property at Tottenham, 1791 and 1792 performed at the London Vocal Concerts, 1794 sang at the Oratorios at Covent Garden and was member of St Peter's Choir, member of the Royal Society of Musicians ; son of Bartholomew Hindle of Westminster
