pianist, organist, critic, studied composition with Jan Willem Kersbergen in Amsterdam, he was conductor of the choir of the Duifjeskerk in Amsterdam, organist/choirmaster of the St Willibrorduskerk and the Boomkerk in Amsterdam, 1908-1913 conductor of A Capella Koor Crescendo and Bel Canto in Amsterdam, 1914-1925 critic for the Maasbode, 1921-1924 conductor of the 'Liedertafel Onderlinge Oefening' in Amsterdam, 2.jul.1926 he moved to Bloemendaal near Haarlem, where he succeeded Marius Monnikendam as organist of the Rooms Katholieke Kerk in Overveen near Haarlem, he composed for the Haarlems Klein a Capella Koor, 11.sep.1927 the pope honored him with the golden cross 'Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice', 26.oct.1927 he gave a silver jubilee concert at the Concertzaal in Haarlem, teacher harmony at the Muziekschool Haarlem ; son of barber and musician Nicolaas Koop (Wognum 19.sep.1847-3.may.1903 Amsterdam) and Jannetje Mak (Hoogwoud 17.sep.1853-) ; 15.feb.1911 in Amsterdam he married Hendrika Johanna Maria Appelboom (Nieuwer-Amstel 19.jan.1889-), they had 8 children
