pianist, 22.apr.1867 baptized at St Peter in Leeds, 1880 living with his parents at 4 Temple View Terrace in Leeds, at an early age church organist in Leeds, 1885-1888 studied with Charles Villiers Stanford at the Royal College of Music in Cambridge, 1890 settled in London as concert pianist with singers like Clara Butt, Ada Crossley, Harry Plunket Greene and cellist William Henry Squire, 1902, 1904, 1906 and 1912 he gave concerts in Doncaster, 1937-1951 he resided at 30 Parkhill Road London Hampstead and died at Walden Nursing Home Fitzjohns Avenue ; son of schoolmaster William Liddle (Leeds 1840-14.sep.1904 Leeds) and Maria Allen (Leeds 22.mar.1844-1895 Leeds) ; 1893 in London Kensington he married Christabel Ann Culverwell (Bristol Clifton 1871-22.dec.1951 London Hampstead)
