pianist, used the pseudonyms Lewis Anthony, John Belton, Peter Crantock and Frank Howard, 1890 residing with his parents, two servants and composer Edward German as lodger at 1 Kilburn Priory in Hampstead, by 1900 he was named Tony, 6.apr.1914-5.mar.1919 he served in the Duke of Cambridge's Own Middlesex Regiment, 1914-1922 residing at 41 Leith Mansions in London Maida Vale, 1925-1928 at 133 Portsdown Road in Maida Vale, musical director of Cecil Bernstein's Granada Theatres, 1930-1960 freelance arranger and orchestrator for the BBC, 1936 member of the Performing Right Society London, 1944 with Clive Richardson (1909-1998) he formed a piano duo 'Four Hands in Harmony', 1967-1971 residing at 13 Marlborough House in Maida Vale ; son of tailor Alexander Ludwig Lowy (Hungary, Foldwar 1859-) and Emily Mary Zugg (Westminster 1856-) who married 22.oct.1882 in Guildford and although he filed a petition for divorce 4.jan.1883 they remained married ; 1913 in Woolwich he married Isabel Florence Olive Willoughby Roberts (Hereford 5.sep.1893-1971 Paddington) ; son Jack Anthony Belton Lowry (Wandsworth 1914-), daughter Olive Isabel Penrice Belton Lowry (Paddington 1916-)
