pianist, used the pseudonym Humberto Mateo for his spanish compositions, in France his name was written as Mac Knight or Mac-Knight, in the USA professionally as MacKnight, 1917 studied music in Chicago, 1918-1922 his address was with his parents at 5045 11th Avenue in Seattle but he was continuously employed as musician in Paris, 1.aug.1918 for 2 years employed as musician for the Casino of Spa Belgium while residing at 119 Avenue de Villiers in Paris, 18.aug.1920 left his home in Seattle for another 2 years as musician in Paris residing at 85 Avenue des Ternes, 1926-1936 active in Paris where he resided and published his own compositions at 2 place Dancourt, he wrote several compositions for accordionist Tity Quentin, after 1936 he gave up music and returned to the USA where he took a job for the US Government, 1941 he was boarding at 5th Avenue in New York City, 1942 residing at 4712 21st Avenue and 1949 at 911 17th Avenue in Seattle ; son of farmer/grocery salesman James Frank McKnight (on a farm in Franklin Indiana 16.jan.1867-10.jan.1943 Seattle) and Lucy Belle Wilson (Washington 23.nov.1868-24.may.1943 Seattle) ; 1921 he married Leonie Marie Gregorire (France 5.mar.1896-6.feb.1987 San Diego Vista)
