1885 as music teacher boarding with his elder brother music teacher Orlando Needham at 214 Patton Street in Knoxville Tennessee, 1900-1905 music teacher and music publisher as Wm L Needham at 205 Chestnut Street in Chicago, 1907 music publisher as Wm L Needham & Son at 205 Chestnut Street Chicago (but on his publications he used all kinds of creative and non-existing company names like The World of Love Music Co., Illinois Music Book House, Chicago Standard Song Co., Musician Self-maker Co., Inland Music House, Inland Publishing Co., Inland Music Agency, West End Music Co.), he exclusively published his own compositions and some of his son, 1910-1912 as music teacher residing in St Louis Missouri, 1920 he was back in Chicago as music publisher at 1547 North Wells Street, at time of death as music teacher residing at 1952 Byron Street Chicago, buried at Park Boulevard Cemetery in Schiller Park Illinois ; son of Henry Needham (Tennessee, Grainger 1836-c1864 Grainger, in the civil war) and Amanda A Frost (Knoxville 13.nov.1839-17.sep.1914 Maynardville Luttrell) ; 4.jan.1880 in Maynardville he married Eliza Jane Hickle (Tennessee 15.nov.1864-20.aug.1929 Chicago) ; son composer La Fayette Needham
