organist, 1909 studied at Knox College in Galesburg Illinois, BM and MM from the American Conservatory in Chicago, 1910 aged 20 already a professional concert organist in Hutchinson and 1912 employed by J W Jenkins Sons Music Co. in Hutchinson, 1920-1930 music teacher in Kansas City Missouri, 1930 organist of the First Methodist Church in Albuquerque New Mexico, 1940 organist at hotel El Cortez in San Diego, 1935-1949 residing at 355 First Avenue in Chula Vista, member of the Soroptimist Club, Dominant Club and honorary member of Sigma Alpha Iota, her songs were performed by Tibbett, Thomas, Giannini, Marshhall, Morgan and Sweetland ; daughter of manager grocery wholesale company David Heryer (Missouri 1849-1913 Hutchinson) and Ida May (Illinois 1853-a1931) ; 1916 she married salesman William Fred Akers (Michigan, Hazleton 22.jan.1889-) by 1930 she was widowed ; c1934 she married citrus orchard rancher and president Sunset Engraving Co. William S Phillips (England 1873-)
