pianist, theatre conductor, from an early age studied music in New York, studied music with Franz Liszt, 1880 as musician residing with wife and daughter at the home of his parents-in-law 311 6th Street New York, for several seasons theatre conductor for Kiralfy Bros., 1896-1900 as conductor residing at 231 East 84th Street Manhattan, he made several visits to Germany, vice-president of the Musical Mutual Protection Union, 1902-1903 conductor for Mrs. Fiske at Manhattan Theatre, 1905 residing at 206 East 15th Street, 9.oct.1905 buried in New York Brooklyn ; son of Christofer Puerner (Germany-) and Barbara Roeder (Germany 1818-1.jan.1897 Manhattan) ; 7.oct.1877 in Manhattan he married Emma Wannemacher (Manhattan 13.dec.1859-16.sep.1921 Manhattan) ; of 7 children only 3 daughters survived infancy
