pianist, harpsichordist, organist, choral conductor, studied organ with George Stam in Leeuwarden and was organist of the Gereformeerde Kerk in Franeker, 1938 conductor of the choir 'God is mijn Lied' in Sexbierum near Franeker, 1945-1957 conductor of Chr. Gemengd Koor 'Cantabile' in Franeker which often appeared on radio, 1945-1968 boardmember and 1968-1990 advisor of the Koninklijke Christelijke Zangers Bond, 1958-1978 and for 50 years conductor of Chr. Oratoriumvereniging 'Immanuel' in Franeker which performed large scale works throughout Friesland, 22.sep.1958 he conducted the choirs Immanuel of Franeker, Cantabile of Leeuwarden, Harmonie of Menaldum and Laus Deo of Wommels at the Martinikerk in Franeker for a recording by NCRV radio, 1938-1994 and probably all his life residing in Franeker
