pianist, studied with Louis Adam and Fromental Halevy at the Conservatoire de Paris, 1828 second prix solfege, 1830 premier prix piano, 1832 premier prix harmony and accompaniment, may.1829-1.dec.1838 professor of solfege and accompaniment at the Conservatoire de Paris, 26.jan.1845 engaged by the Societe des Concerts, correspondent for the Revue et Gazette musicale ; daughter of composer Martin Joseph Andrien and Gabrielle Constance Philippi de Bucelli d'Estree (Saint Quentin 19.apr.1782-20.nov.1854 Paris) ; 4.jun.1833 she married tenor Pierre Francois Wartel (Versailles 3.apr.1806-12.aug.1882 Paris)

[her father and his brothers used the name Adrien, the Paris Conservatoire recorded the family name as Andrien and is used by Constant Pierre 1900, Arthur Pougin 1878 gave it as by-name but birth, death and marriage records reveal that the real family name was Andrien and Therese exclusively used the real family name]
